Statement from Jackson Lewis Chairman Vincent A. Cino

I am saddened and concerned by the recent acts of terrorism in Charlottesville, VA.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this senseless, violent tragedy, and while the events from this past weekend - a direct challenge to the core principles of our American democracy - have certainly given us all cause for concern, I ask you to continue working together to ensure we at Jackson Lewis are making progress towards treating all people with dignity and respect.

If you are troubled by the increase of intolerance we are seeing in our country, you are not alone. Hate, bigotry, and violence have no place among American values—inclusion and respect for those who are different from us do.  We must continue to ensure these values that are so important to us are protected.

Both as a firm and as a family, we will continue to combat and prevent racism and intolerance, and treat each other with fairness and compassion.

I extend our condolence to the victims, their families, and all who have been affected by these acts of intolerance and violence.

Best,

Vincent
