With experienced OSHA attorneys across the country and in Washington, D.C., Jackson Lewis is uniquely situated to serve all of an employer’s workplace safety needs. On a daily basis, we help clients ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA rules by: reviewing corporate safety and health policies and practices, and developing compliance strategies; identifying areas where employers may be at risk of non-compliance through on-site reviews and other means; and training managers and supervisors on their safety and health responsibilities. Jackson Lewis offers comprehensive, high-level training to employers on OSHA’s recordkeeping rule. The training takes employers through a step-by-step approach to record injuries and illnesses that occur at the workplace. It also highlights the key mistakes that employers make in determining whether and how to record an employee injury or illness. To further assist our clients, we actively monitor OSHA developments and provide up-to-date information on regulatory issues and enforcement directives.

Jackson Lewis attorneys also have extensive experience advising clients during on-site OSHA inspections, as well as defending companies against enforcement actions. We have a strong record of success in resolving enforcement actions favorably for our clients. Members of the Practice Group also represent employers in connection with OSHA rulemaking proceedings, seeking to ensure that responsible officials are mindful of our clients’ needs in furthering our common objective of improved occupational safety and health. Where a client is adversely affected by an OSHA standard or regulation that may be inappropriate, Jackson Lewis will represent that employer in a court challenge to the rule.

At all times, our goal is to help clients address safety and health issues proactively through effective safety and health management systems. In addition to our OSHA-related services, Jackson Lewis attorneys have extensive experience counseling employers on workplace violence issues and substance abuse testing policies.

Jackson Lewis attorneys can assist employers in identifying legal needs, building a solid defense, meeting compliance requirements, and developing best practices. For more information, please contact practice area coordinator Bradford T. Hammock or the Jackson Lewis attorney with whom you regularly work.
