Deverie J. Christensen is a Partner and Litigation Manager for the Las Vegas, Nevada office of Jackson Lewis LLP.
Ms. Christensen practices in all areas of employment law, and has significant experience in the areas of employment discrimination and harassment, wage and hour law, and disability and leave laws.
Ms. Christensen represents public and private employers in a wide range of employment actions in administrative forums and state and federal courts, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and wage and hour actions. She also provides advice and counseling to clients, and has been a seminar speaker and trainer on maintaining a discrimination and harassment free workplace, conducting the employment relationship from hiring to firing, including performance evaluations, discipline and documentation, and the creation and use of employee handbooks.
Before joining Jackson Lewis LLP in 2006, Ms. Christensen was a partner in one of Las Vegas, Nevada’s largest law firms. Ms. Christensen focused her practice in representing public and private employers in the areas of labor and employment law.
Ms. Christensen is a member of the Nevada (1998) and California (2006) State Bars and is admitted to practice before all California and Nevada State Courts, the U.S. District Court of Nevada, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Christensen received her law degree from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clarke School of Law (J.D., 1997.) She also is a graduate of the University of San Francisco with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English, cum laude, and minor in Writing.
