Sarah E. Keates is an Associate in the Cincinnati office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice is focused on advising management clients regarding a wide variety of employment policies and practices, including employee handbooks, employee leave, investigations of discrimination and workplace harassment, employee discipline and discharge, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing the employment relationship. Sarah regularly defends claims in employment litigation and before administrative agencies, including claims of unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. She also speaks on employment-related topics.
Sarah is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, where she is active in its Young Lawyers Section. She is admitted to practice in Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Sarah received her B.Mus., with distinction, in piano performance from the University of Oklahoma and her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She was a member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review and authored a casenote, which was published in Volume 78 of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Joseph E. Kane, U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges.
