In-House Counsel

Our commitment to long term, successful client relationships begins by partnering with in-house counsel to navigate workplace law challenges.

Overview

The role of corporate counsel has expanded significantly. From risk management to cross-border issues, in-house counsel are called upon to serve not only as legal advisors, but as business advisors as well. Jackson Lewis delivers comprehensive advice to in-house counsel every day, taking a preventive approach by helping to anticipate issues before they arise.

Our attorneys have experience in every aspect of workplace law, and many have previously worked for state and federal agencies such as the Department of Labor, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security and the National Labor Relations Board. Others have worked as corporate counsel for companies across various industries, giving them unique insight in to the challenges facing in-house counsel. This powerful combination of agency and in-house experience, partnered with our collaborative approach to truly become extensions of our clients’ in-house teams, has contributed to our legacy of client service excellence.

We Partner With You

Helping in-house counsel navigate workplace law challenges requires a deep understanding of their business, industry and corporate culture. We are committed to learning about the key influencers that can impact our clients’ immediate and long term goals. This collaboration helps our attorneys become trusted advisors who can identify potential risks and proactively address them in an effort to prevent litigation.

Preventive Advice and Counsel

We provide advice and counsel on any subject related to workplace law, including compliance with federal and state employment laws. Our firm culture encourages a collaborative approach across practices and offices to provide timely and tailored guidance to our clients. Many of our attorneys devote a majority of their practice to a single area of workplace law, and thus are available to share their extensive knowledge of that practice area and its related nuances. Jackson Lewis offers a variety of preventive tools, knowledge and resources that may be customized to address each client’s specific needs.

Alternative Fee Arrangements

As a pioneer in the alternative fee arena, Jackson Lewis has long understood the need to structure fees that reflect a true partnership with respect to risk sharing. Through open and honest communication we create tailored, value-based fee arrangements that align with our clients’ goals. Our innovative approach not only enhances our relationship with clients, but increases value and provides cost certainty. Our attorneys have the insight derived from decades of experience handling litigation, labor and administrative claims to manage your matters successfully under various types of alternative fee arrangements.
