After several years of formulation and debate, the NLRB’s final rule governing the conduct of representation elections is scheduled to take effect April 14, 2015. The new rule reduces the time between the filing of a representation petition and the election through a series of procedural changes.  Our presenters, including the Cleveland Regional Director of the NLRB, will discuss how the new rules affect employers and we will also explore other recent developments impacting the labor law landscape.   We will also review evolving changes to the NLRB’s joint employer standard, which could greatly increase who is considered a joint employer with the NLRB, and continuing changes to the Rules protecting employees in their use of social media.
