What should you do when blind-sided by an employee’s request for a reasonable accommodation while disciplining the employee for poor performance?  What about the call at midnight from one of your managers notifying you that a serious accident just occurred at your work site and it looks like OSHA will be visiting?  And, don’t forget the emergency request for FMLA leave after you denied an employee vacation for the same dates.  We will discuss how to best handle these and other emergencies with the least amount of legal exposure and the greatest amount of practicality.
This session will be used to meet the objective of teaching human resource professionals, executives, managers, supervisors, business owners, in-house counsel, and other professionals how to handle human resource emergencies that arise in the ADA, FMLA and work-accident arenas.
