Congress may be gridlocked, but the two other branches of government in Washington D.C. have been busy. The U.S. Supreme Court issued landmark rulings in 2015, including decisions on health care and same-sex marriage. Down the street, the U.S. Department of Labor has issued new proposed regulations on overtime exemptions, and the EEOC has ruled that Title VII protects LGBT employees. Finally, Missouri continues to be a hotbed of employment litigation.  This fast paced program will cover these and other issues to help Missouri and Kansas employers cope with the ever changing legal landscape in which they operate.

Topics Include:

  • Understanding the Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces (“Blacklisting”) Executive Order: Ten Steps Contractors Should Take Now
  • Do You Need to Change your Business Model in Response to New Changes in Federal and State Wage and Hour Laws?
