Angela Quiles Nevarez Honored with HNBA's “Top Lawyers Under 40" Award

PHILADELPHIA, PA (February 20, 2019) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Philadelphia Of Counsel Angela Quiles Nevarez has been selected to receive the prestigious “Top Lawyers Under 40” Award presented by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). The Award honors lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.

Ms. Quiles Nevarez focuses her practice on employment litigation in state and federal courts. She defends employers in actions involving claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Quiles Nevarez regularly advises and counsels clients on strategies for handling employee discipline, terminations, workplace investigations, requests for accommodation, and leaves of absence. She conducts training seminars in both English and Spanish on equal employment opportunities, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, diversity and inclusion, and unconscious bias.

Ms. Quiles Nevarez is Co-Chair of Jackson Lewis’ Hispanic Attorney Resource Group (HARG), a group of attorneys who are committed to increasing the firm’s visibility among Hispanic and other minority attorneys, as well as mentoring the firm’s attorneys in their training and development. The HARG has developed and maintained the firm’s Spanish Language Legal Services for its Spanish-speaking clients and many of its members provide assistance to organizations with large Hispanic workforces.

Ms. Quiles Nevarez is a member of the American Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the National Employment Law Council. 

Ms. Quiles Nevarez received her J.D. and B.A. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
