CHARLOTTE, NC (April 5, 2021) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Kathleen K. Lucchesi has joined the firm’s Charlotte office as a principal. Kathleen focuses her practice on litigating a wide range of employment law matters.

“We are pleased to welcome Kathi to the firm,” said Nadine C. Abrahams and Stephanie L. Adler-Paindiris, co-leaders of the firm’s General Employment Litigation group. “We are confident her litigation and trial experience will prove to be an enormous asset to us as we continue to address the most important legal issues facing employers today."

For more than 20 years, Kathi has provided employment-related counseling and litigation services to management in a wide range of areas including EEOC and wrongful discharge claims as well as claims brought under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA and FMLA. She has appeared before various government agencies on behalf of clients, including the NC State Property Tax Commission, Employment Security Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Kathi frequently works with in-house counsel to control costs, develop reasonable litigation budgets, assess risk/exposure to the client, and appropriately resolve litigation. She is an experienced trial attorney in both federal and state courts and has successfully led many litigation matters to defense verdicts. Additionally, Kathi creates and present training programs for employers on such topics as sexual harassment, social media, wage and hour compliance, and other relevant employment issues.

“Kathi’s comprehensive trial and litigation experience adds immediate value to our growing office,” said Office Managing Principal Bernard Tisdale. “Her arrival immediately follows Josh Whitlock and Sarah Ford Neorr, and we are thrilled to continue attracting high-caliber attorneys who are instrumental in building upon the firm’s capabilities in the Charlotte region.”

Prior to her career in employment litigation, Kathi spent more than five years as an assistant district attorney in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. She earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi and her B.S. from the University of Indianapolis.
