Biography

Christopher J. Campbell is a Principal in the Boston, Massachusetts, and Providence, Rhode Island, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. Since joining the firm in 1996, he has worked closely with New England area employers, counseling them on compliance with state and federal discrimination laws and other employment laws.

In addition to preventive work, he regularly represents employers in claims brought in Massachusetts state and federal trial courts and before state and federal administrative agencies, such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General and the U.S. Department of Labor. Mr. Campbell also practices appellate work and has represented employers before the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis in June 1996, he was at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, working to resolve discrimination claims, answer inquiries from Massachusetts citizens and attorneys, and draft agency memoranda and hearing decisions. In 2001, Mr. Campbell was certified by the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination to perform employee and supervisory training in harassment prevention, diversity, and disability accommodation. Mr. Campbell has also planned and conducted sexual harassment investigations and management training for employers throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont. Mr. Campbell regularly practices in Rhode Island state and federal court, and before the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights.
