Claire L. Cook

Biography

Claire L. Cook is an associate in the Dallas, Texas office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Claire is a trial attorney with significant litigation experience.  Claire represents clients in both federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission – Civil Rights Division.  Claire’s legal practice focuses on employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, failure to pay wages, and employment-related torts.  Claire also counsels clients on how to prevent employment lawsuits and create policies that comply with federal and state labor and employment laws.  Claire’s experience involves Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and best workplace practices.

While attending law school, Claire was an Articles Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review.  Claire has also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Justice Sue Walker of the Second Court of Appeals.
