Biography

Dan Lennon is of counsel in the Salt Lake City, Utah, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Dan has long been a trusted partner of human resources and business executives. His counsel and advise on strategic initiatives have helped companies grow and be successful. He has overseen numerous litigated matters and helped reach successful resolutions of many company disputes. Having worked in a law firm environment as well as in house he has a unique perspective for handling a wide range of employment matters.

Dan began his career at Jackson Lewis in the early 1990s, providing employment advise and counseling to clients in all areas of employment law as well as litigating employment cases in federal and state court and before administrative bodies. Dan left the firm in the late 1990s to pursue an in-house career.

Dan was in-house employment counsel for Paine Webber/Union Bank of Switzerland, Simon & Schuster, and Pearson. During his time as in-house employment counsel, Dan provided daily employment law advice to human resources and business executives in all areas of employment law. He helped companies navigate large reductions in force, as well as numerous mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Dan has trained employees, managers, and supervisors in all areas of employment law, including discrimination and harassment, diversity and inclusion, ADA and disability issues, FLSA and wage/hour issues and NLRA and union issues. Dan has overseen many corporate compliance investigations and led investigations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims in the workplace.

Dan was born and raised in New York. He met his wife Kate on a ski trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They settled in New York and, after raising four children, they decided to head back West to be closer to family and the wonderful recreation activities afforded those who live in the beautiful western mountains.
