Elizabeth A. Erickson is a principal in the Madison, Wisconsin, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C.

Elizabeth partners with businesses in a broad range of industries to provide creative and practical solutions to the complex array of workplace disability and health management issues faced by employers today. Elizabeth counsels clients with the goal of helping the business run smoothly while avoiding litigation entirely or improving outcomes before administrative agencies, courts, and juries.

Elizabeth skillfully helps clients navigate the overlapping requirements that can be imposed by state and federal disability law, as well as the FMLA and workers’ compensation rules. She especially enjoys providing counsel for clients who need assistance with the “individualized assessment” required by a growing number of federal and state laws. These efforts include helping employers effectively communicate with employees and medical providers in an effort to evaluate potential risks to health and safety posed by employee injuries or illnesses.

Elizabeth also helps clients to effectively investigate and address the delicate issues raised by sexual harassment and other harassment allegations. Conducting insightful and thorough investigations that are sensitive to the difficult emotions these issues raise is one of Elizabeth’s particular strengths.

Elizabeth extends her counseling practice to nuanced area of Wisconsin non-competition and non-disclosure agreements, which is an ever-changing area of law.

Additionally, Elizabeth brings her more than 17 years of litigation experience to the defense of clients facing employment actions before state and local agencies, the EEOC, and state and federal courts.
