Francis A. Wilson

Biography

Francis A. Wilson is an associate in the Denver, Colorado, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His primary practice involves employment litigation and preventive advice and counseling.

Francis has defended businesses against a variety of employment claims, including those involving allegations of discrimination and harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, Equal Pay Act violations, restrictive covenant violations, and False Claims Act violations.

Prior to joining at Jackson Lewis, Francis worked as a financial consultant at a Big Four accounting firm, where he assisted financial institution clients with a variety of compliance, audit, risk management, and process improvement projects.

Francis then worked in-house at a non-profit national defense think tank, which is where he discovered his affinity for employment law. While there, he led investigations into allegations of employee misconduct; created and delivered mandatory employee trainings; led several compliance programs; drafted separation, non-disclosure, and other agreements; and helped the company successfully defend against employment litigation.

The business acumen Francis developed during his time in consulting and the legal experience gained while working in-house provide him with a unique ability to understand clients’ individual circumstances, needs, goals, and expectations. Having been in the client’s position, he is keenly aware of what works – and what doesn’t – when it comes to rendering practical employment guidance.
