Jeremy D. Locklear

Biography

Jeremy D. Locklear is an associate in the Raleigh, North Carolina, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Jeremy’s practice involves representing employers in a broad range of employment-related disputes and litigation, including, preventative advise and counseling, pre-litigation claims, and claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Jeremy defended employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. He represented clients in all stages of the litigation process, from initial evaluation through litigation, mediation, and appeal, and also regularly advised clients on associated employment-related matters, such as those under the North Carolina Retaliatory Discrimination Act. He also represented clients in general civil defense litigation and insurance coverage matters throughout the southeast.  

During law school, Jeremy served as a judicial intern for the Honorable James A. Wynn Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He also served as a legal and risk management intern for the UNC Healthcare System, and as a law clerk at multiple regional firms in North Carolina. 

Jeremy also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Cheri L. Beasley of the Supreme Court of North Carolina after graduating from law school. When he’s not in the office, Jeremy can usually be found at his local gym, outdoors enjoying nature or attending sporting events.
