Jody Wilner Moran


Jody Wilner Moran is a principal in the Chicago, Illinois, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents employers in trial, appellate, and administrative proceedings throughout the Midwest involving a broad range of substantive employment law issues.

Jody has successfully assisted countless clients in handling their employment issues, including litigating wrongful discharge cases; managing discrimination cases; counseling employers on challenging employment issues; mediating cases to settlement; conducting investigations; representing employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other federal and state agencies; advising management on employment relations and negotiating severance agreements.

Jody brings sophisticated, yet easy to understand advice on handling and defending disability discrimination, retaliation and sex and race harassment claims. From helping clients analyze options and making recommendations on how to handle employee relations issues, to representing clients in complex discrimination cases, Jody always provides creative solutions and passionate advocacy for her clients.

In addition to her counseling and litigation duties, Jody frequently provides 1:1 training for executives and managers to provide them with a better understanding as to how to minimize the risk of complaints and litigation. She has presented seminars involving employment law where she receives kudos for her engaging and entertaining presentations.

Before joining Jackson Lewis in 2004, Jody was a founding partner of the Chicago boutique labor and employment law firm Connelly Sheehan Moran.
