Biography

John J. Commisso is Of Counsel in the Boston, Massachusetts, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He has vast experience representing clients in a broad range of government investigations, white collar criminal proceedings, internal corporate investigations, and complex business litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Commisso has advised clients in connection with government enforcement actions and investigations initiated by state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Customs and Border Protection, and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. Additionally, Mr. Commisso has represented numerous clients in complex civil litigation. He has experience in matters involving misappropriation of trade secrets, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and complex business disputes among owners of closely held corporations.

During law school, he was on the editorial staff of The Georgetown Law Journal. He also served for two year as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable George A. O’Toole, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Prior to studying law, Mr. Commisso worked in the Audit and Business Advisory Services Department of a Big Six accounting firm. Mr. Commisso was previously licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant.
