Katherine B. Brezinski


Katherine B. Brezinski, an associate in the Jacksonville, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C., is licensed to practice in federal and state courts in New York and Massachusetts as well as Florida. Katie leverages her multi-state knowledge of workplace law to provide her clients with preventive advice and counseling, tailored to where they do business. 

Katie conducts workplace investigations and trainings and assists in policy development. Working with clients on these matters, gives them daily access to Katie’s counseling on the full range of employment issues employers face today. Her practice extends to representing management in labor arbitrations and other grievance resolution proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board. In addition to her private sector clients, Katie’s practice also includes working with public entities, including public transit authorities, nationwide.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Katie practiced at a regional firm representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims before the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims. She gained experience in handling general civil defense litigation in a wide variety of matters and uses this unique experience to provide employers with a comprehensive view of employment decisions and leave policies. 

Katie also served as a judicial clerk to Administrative Law Judge Patrick Rosenow with the Department of Labor.

While attending Tulane Law School in the Big Easy, Katie served as the senior managing editor for the Sports Lawyers Journal. She interned with International Management Group, a global sports and talent management company in New York City. She was a recipient of the Jackson-Ryan Pro Bono Advocate Award. 

A native of Denver, Colorado, Katie is a graduate of St. Anne’s Episcopal School, Kent Denver School, and finally made her way to the Northeast to become a graduate of Colby College. Despite the cold winters, she was a four-year letter winner on Colby College’s Division III Tennis team, earning both Most Improved and Most Valuable Player awards.
