Kirsten A. Milton

Kirsten A. Milton is a principal in the Chicago, Illinois, and Las Vegas, Nevada, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents and counsels management in a wide range of labor and employment issues with a particular focus on complex litigation. To that end, Kirsten regularly represents employers in class and collective action litigation arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state wage-and-hour laws, as well as systemic discrimination claims arising under Title VII and other statutory and common law theories.

Kirsten also regularly handles single-plaintiff and multi-party litigation arising under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and a variety of other state laws. She has extensive experience dealing with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Nevada Equal Rights Commission, and various other state fair employment agencies.

In addition to her litigation experience, Kirsten routinely counsels clients on day-to-day employment issues, such as litigation-avoidance measures, personnel policies and procedures, severance agreements, and employee hiring, discipline, and discharge.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Kirsten was an associate in the labor and employment group at a leading international law firm.

While in law school, she served as editor-in-chief of the University of Illinois Law Review and was a recipient of multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards.
