LeRoy J. Watkins, Jr. is a principal in the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on employment and labor litigation and advice and counsel in both state and federal matters, and he has extensive experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, wage and hour and wrongful discharge matters. LeRoy’s extensive trial background includes the defense of companies and municipalities in more than 100 state and federal court trials, civil service and administrative hearings and arbitrations in New York, New Jersey and throughout the country.

Based on his time as first deputy commissioner of investigation of the New York City School District, LeRoy is called upon regularly to conduct investigations into management and employee misconduct, discrimination, harassment, financial fraud and abuse and other types of wrongdoing. 

LeRoy formerly served as co-leader of the Jackson Lewis Diversity Committee. Prior to joining the firm, LeRoy was general counsel of a prominent investment banking company and previously served as employment counsel in the law departments of two Fortune 500 companies and in the labor and employment departments at several distinguished national law firms.
