Nicki Karim is an associate in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Nicki has defended various wage and hour class and representative actions over the last couple years of her practice, including actions under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Nicki also handles cases related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination, and responses to inquiries by the California Civil Rights Department and Equal Employment Opportunity Committee.

Nicki’s experience ranges from defending mom and pop restaurant and small hotel chains to defending large national companies, such as staffing agencies.

Growing up, Nicki’s father owned and managed a small restaurant. Witnessing her father’s dedication and hard work in operating the restaurant, helped Nicki appreciate and empathize with business owners. She works hard to keep them out of courts through counseling and guidance.

Nicki has always been very passionate about employment law. She began her career on the plaintiff’s side to gain a well-rounded perspective and insight which helps her develop strategies for clients.
