Nicholas R. Roberts is an Associate in the Memphis, Tennessee, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing clients in management-side labor and employment law cases of all types, including lawsuits, arbitrations, and administrative claims involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, as well as disability accommodation issues.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Roberts spent nearly five years as a law enforcement officer, finishing his career as a Detective in the Persons Crimes Division. During his time as a detective, Mr. Roberts received extensive training in investigative and interviewing techniques and tactics. Mr. Roberts conducted numerous criminal investigations and prepared cases for successful prosecution.

While in law school, Mr. Roberts gained litigation experience working at a private firm representing clients in wide range of practice areas. Mr. Roberts’ experience in the public sector included internships with the U.S. Department of Justice: Antitrust Division in Chicago, IL and the United States Attorneys’ Offices in Memphis, TN. Mr. Roberts is also familiar with the workings of the federal and state judiciary due to his experience as a summer clerk with the Honorable Judge Bernice Donald of the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and a clerk with the Honorable Judge James F. Russell in the Shelby County Circuit Court. Mr. Roberts also served as Articles Editor for the University of Memphis Law Review, earned the CALI Award for Excellence (highest grade in the class) in seven different courses, and received the Dean’s Award for Excellence for a legal memorandum submitted in his legal writing course.
