Nicole A. Aaronson


Nicole A. Aaronson is an associate in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, and breach of employment contract claims. Nicole’s practice also focuses on advising/counseling employers regarding daily workplace issues and employee handbooks and policies.

Additionally, as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) Nicole advises clients on compliance with state, federal, and international privacy laws and rapidly evolving privacy threats, including the collection, use, retention and destruction of data. She also defends data privacy class-action litigation and litigated matters involving invasion of privacy, right of publicity, statutory consumer claims, and TCPA. In addition, Nicole handles data breach response and other sensitive situations arising from the misuse of computers and related technology.

Within the cannabis industry, Nicole assists with corporate governance, develops sound SOPs and personnel policies, and guides regulatory compliance in the growth, transportation, processing, production, distribution and sales of cannabis products. For employers of all types, Nicole provides guidance on cannabis legalization’s impact on employment law issues such as job applications, drug testing, accommodating employees’ use of cannabis for medical purposes and cannabis as a cause or treatment for workplace injuries.

Nicole’s cross-disciplinary background, coupled with her litigation experience, provider her with a unique view of many workplace issues and the impact privacy and emerging regulations may play in actual or threatened lawsuits.
