Phillip J. Harris is a principal in the Tampa, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Phillip has distinguished himself as a go-to labor and employment trial lawyer, defending clients in discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, whistleblower, retaliation, employment torts, and wrongful termination. Phillip prefers, however, that employers look to him as a resource—where they can get answers to all of their legal questions from the simple to the complex—and how those answers affect their business.

Phillip defends clients in a variety of venues, including state and federal courts as well as before the Department of Labor, the EEOC and state and local human rights commissions. He has secured countless dismissals for employers in federal and state courts, as well as with the Department of Labor, the EEOC, the Florida Commission on Human Relations and DOAH.

Phillip also successfully defended a client in a religious liberty case that went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2021 Law360 deemed Dalberiste v. GLE Associates, Inc. a case to watch.

In addition to establishing a himself as a seasoned litigator Phillip also partners with employers in providing advice on employee hiring, separation, severance, discipline, terminations, demotions, reductions in force, sexual harassment avoidance and various internal employee investigations.
