Bio
Shannon A. Delano is an associate in the Richmond, Virginia, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including litigation and preventive advice and counseling.
Shannon defends employers in court proceedings, arbitrations, and government agency proceedings involving claims under federal and state law. She also assists clients with workplace investigations and employee handbook and policy review.
Shannon strives to deliver high-quality legal services while working with employers to develop proactive strategies and business solutions to reduce risk and avoid litigation. When litigation is necessary, her objective is to achieve the best possible results quickly and efficiently for clients.
Shannon’s interest in employment law began the summer before she began law school, when she interned with the human resources department of a provider of cloud and technical support services. Shannon’s collaboration with the human resource professionals fostered her curiosity in employment-related legal issues that arise day-to-day in the workplace.
While attending law school, Shannon researched and analyzed workplace law matters as a law clerk at a McLean, Virginia, law firm and as a legal extern at the Williamsburg, Virginia, office of a national law firm.
Before joining Jackson Lewis, Shannon was an associate in Charlottesville, Virginia, at a regional law firm, where she managed civil litigation matters in a variety of practice areas, including employment law.
