Jackson Lewis Adds Litigator Thomas Berry in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (January 5, 2016) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to welcome Thomas E. Berry, Jr. to the firm’s St. Louis office, where he joins as Principal.  Mr. Berry was formerly a shareholder at Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard, where he served as the firm’s Chair of the Employment Law team.

“Tom is a well-credentialed attorney who has practiced labor and employment in St. Louis for over 26 years,” said Jessica L. Mr. Berry’s practice is exclusively focused on representing management before state, federal or local administrative agencies as well as before both state and federal courts throughout the country.  His practice is national in scope, and he has represented employers in legal proceedings in over twenty different states.  Mr. Berry has extensive litigation experience which permits him to effectively counsel and advise clients on a variety of employment-related issues in order to ensure that effective human resource practices and procedures are followed in order to minimize any additional exposure.

Mr. Berry was named as one of the 2009 Southwestern Illinois All-Stars by the Illinois Business Journal for his outstanding contributions and his impact in his community and to the people living in it.  He currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Southwest Division of the United Way of Greater St. Louis; Board of Directors, United Way of Greater St. Louis; Board of Directors, Illinois Center for Autism; and Board of Directors, Madison County Urban League.

Mr. Berry is admitted to practice in Illinois, Missouri, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Circuits and before the United States District Courts for the District of Arizona, Southern District of Illinois, Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, Southern District of Ohio and Eastern District of Wisconsin.  In June of 2006, he was sworn in and admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Berry received his A.B. from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law.
