Kevin Holden Named Managing Shareholder of Jackson Lewis' Richmond Office

RICHMOND, VA (July 24, 2014) – Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Kevin D. Holden has assumed the role of Richmond office Managing Shareholder.

“Since joining Jackson Lewis in October 2009, Kevin has demonstrated a commitment to the growth of the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said Firm Chairman Vincent A. Cino.  “We are confident our Richmond office will continue to flourish under his leadership.”

Mr. Holden has more than 25 years of experience representing management and defending against individual and class claims brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Title VII, and the American’s with Disabilities Act, and regularly litigates the enforceability of non-compete agreements, claims for unpaid wages, and various other workplace torts.  His practice takes him before numerous state and federal courts, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor.

In addition to his litigation practice, a substantial amount of Mr. Holden’s time is devoted to counseling large and mid-size companies, business owners, and health care groups — regional, national, and local —on a variety of work place issues in an effort to ensure awareness of and compliance with applicable employment laws and avoid the disruption, expense and uncertainty of litigation.  He is a frequent lecturer on a variety of workplace issues, is the current Vice-Chair for the executive committee for the Labor and Employment Section of the Virginia Bar Association and will be the Chair of that committee starting January 1, 2016.

Mr. Holden, who has achieved Martindale Hubbell’s highest rating (AV Preeminent) has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America since 2009, in Virginia Super Lawyers since 2008, and in Virginia Business magazine as one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” since 2007.

Mr. Holden received his B.S., with honors, from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and earned his J.D. cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington.
