Cayla J. Witty

Cayla Witty is an associate in the Las Vegas, Nevada, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice includes both employment litigation matters and advice and counsel on a variety of workplace law.

As a former small business owner herself and a certified human resources professional, Cayla understands the challenges for employers and employees alike. She tailors her work to assist employers in developing policies that build successful workplaces. When conflict arises, she focuses on smart resolutions through performance management, workplace investigations, and alternative dispute resolution.

Cayla has handled discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employment contract claims in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Nevada Equal Rights Commission. She also has experience with wage and hour issues and class actions.

After making Nevada her home, Cayla clerked on the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada, and served as a staff attorney with the Nevada Court of Appeals. During law school, she was managing editor of the Nevada Law Journal, and was awarded the Community Service Award upon graduation.

Away from the office, she is constantly reading, supporting the growing professional Vegas sports scene (especially the Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Aces, and Vegas Thrill), and attempting the occasional painting or photography project.
