Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Emma was an associate at a prominent law firm in San Francisco, where she developed experience in intellectual property and complex litigation in both federal and state jurisdictions. She gained experience handling all stages of litigation, including pretrial pleading and motion practice, arbitration, and written discovery.

During law school, Emma was appointed by the Dean as a member of the Admissions Committee for the Class of 2024 and served as the vice president for King Hall Intellectual Property Law Association (KHIPLA), the vice president of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA), a symposium editor for the Business Law Journal, a teacher’s assistant for 1L Legal Research and Writing I & II, a research assistant for Professor of Law, Donna Shestowsky, and on King Hall’s First-Generation Advocates Board. She externed for the Honorable William J. Murray, Jr. at the Court of Appeal for the Third Appellate District of California. She also obtained a Pro Bono Program Certificate and Public Service Law Program Certificate. Emma served BLSA in various capacities on the local and regional level. Among her accomplishments in the local chapter was her creation and service as the co-chair for King Hall’s First Annual Martin Luther King Service Day.

Emma was one of the first summer associates in the inaugural class of the Law in Technology Diversity Collaborative, where she was one of the sixteen students selected nationally. She gained rare cross-company legal experience working in-house at a technology company and with outside counsel. This experience allows her to better assess the true needs and processes of the client.

Emma thrives under pressure in representing clients in workplace legal matters. She prides herself on being client-focused and providing high-level service to clients as a trusted advisor to employers seeking to navigate the complexities of employment law.
