Eric Gamboa is an associate in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice includes defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, as well as preventive advice and counseling. He is a problem solver who prides himself on maintaining robust levels of trust and communication with his clients.

Before joining Jackson Lewis, Eric honed his litigation experience defending employers against high-stakes employment claims in both state and federal courts. He has ample experience preparing discovery responses in factually complex and document-intensive cases, and knows how to guide his clients through this demanding process. Among his notable achievements, Eric second chaired a civil rights jury trial and an arbitration focused on allegations of wrongful termination. He successfully obtained summary judgment of a lawsuit involving claims of race-based discrimination and harassment brought pursuant to California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), and he prevailed in several motions for summary adjudication of claims for punitive damages. These accomplishments are further bolstered by the dozens of successful settlements he has obtained for his clients at various stages of a dispute including the pre-litigation stage, mediation, and other settlements prior to trial.

During his time at the USC Gould School of Law, Eric served as the managing editor of the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice and vice president of the Latino Law Students Association. Beyond his academic pursuits in law school, he also acquired practical legal experience by clerking for several divisions of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.  In sum, Eric blends his broad litigation experience and communicative skills to provide clients with high caliber legal representation.
