John M. Wilusz is of counsel in the Boston, Massachusetts, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. John serves as a trusted legal and strategic advisor to employers navigating labor and employment matters and a broad range of workplace compliance risks. He partners with clients to develop practical, business-focused solutions that help them address legal challenges while supporting their operational and organizational objectives.
John provides proactive counsel to employers of all sizes on the evolving legal and regulatory issues affecting the workplace. He believes that effective legal guidance requires not only a thorough understanding of the law, but also an appreciation of each client's business goals, industry realities, and risk tolerance.
His practice includes representing companies in employment-related disputes and managing all stages of litigation, from pre-suit strategy and risk mitigation through trial and appellate advocacy. In addition to appearing before Massachusetts state and federal courts, John represents employers before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). He regularly advises clients on wage and hour compliance, restrictive covenants, workplace harassment and discrimination matters, employee separations, severance negotiations, and other personnel-related issues. John also drafts and updates employee handbooks and workplace policies to help employers maintain compliance with changing legal requirements and workplace best practices.
John has completed Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD)-certified training, including the Train-the-Trainer program on preventing workplace discrimination and harassment. As a member of the MCAD referral list for discrimination prevention training, he works with employers to foster compliant, respectful, and productive workplace environments.
While attending law school, John was a comments editor for the Suffolk University Law Review.
