Jackson Lewis Honored Again by WILEF for Advancement of Women

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., (June 14, 2013) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce the firm has been recognized as a “Gold Standard Firm” by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) for the second year in a row.  This designation is reserved for large firms that have successfully integrated female attorneys into their top leadership positions.

To meet WILEF’s requirements for Gold Standard designation, Jackson Lewis successfully showed that female attorneys are well represented among its equity partners and hold key leadership positions, including on governance and compensation committees, and that the firm recognizes the contributions of women through compensation.  

Jackson Lewis has been at the forefront in fostering the promotion of women in the legal profession, most notably through the firm’s annual employment law conference for women in-house counsel and human resources executives.  The firm’s Women's Interest Network (WIN) supports and encourages the success of women at the firm by, among other things, working to create new business and leadership opportunities.  This year, WIN expanded upon its mentoring capabilities by initiating the Jackson Lewis Master’s Series, a monthly hour-long conference call where attorneys and staff from all of Jackson Lewis’ 53 locations are encouraged to dial-in and listen to a pre-designated Jackson Lewis “Master” answer questions relating to client development and effective work habits.
