Derrick C. Foard
Derrick C. Foard is an associate in the Charlotte, North Carolina, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Derrick represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters, with a practice focused on employment litigation as well as preventive advice and counseling. He defends employers in disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other workplace-related claims, while also partnering with clients to develop practical strategies that minimize risk and support business objectives.
Derrick counsels employers on day-to-day workplace issues, helping them navigate employment laws, manage employee relations matters, and address challenging personnel decisions. Drawing on his litigation experience, he provides proactive guidance designed to prevent disputes before they arise and position employers for success when conflicts cannot be avoided.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Derrick was an associate at a litigation boutique firm, where he represented employers in employment, commercial, and general litigation matters. This diverse background provides him with a broad perspective on dispute resolution and allows him to take a practical, business-minded approach to advising clients at every stage of the litigation process. Derrick is committed to understanding each client’s unique goals and delivering responsive, results-oriented representation tailored to their needs.
Outside of his practice, Derrick enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on the Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers.
