ALBUQUERQUE, NM (July 25, 2012) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce that Ira D. Bolnick has joined the firm’s Albuquerque office as Of Counsel.
Mr. Bolnick is a veteran labor and employment attorney with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He was formerly at the University of New Mexico, where he served in the Office of University Counsel as a Senior Associate in the Employment and Litigation Section, as well as with the State of New Mexico Risk Management Division. Prior to working for the State of New Mexico, Mr. Bolnick spent 20 years in private practice primarily handling a wide-range of employment and labor issues.
“Ira’s experience representing employers in both the private and public arenas gives him a sharp understanding of the impact of labor and employment law issues on clients’ business operations and risks,” said Danny W. Mr. Bolnick’s practice includes mediation and arbitration services. As a trained mediator for over 30 years, he was a member of the Governor’s Advisory Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution, and is currently an advisor to the New Mexico Supreme Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission.
Mr. Bolnick is currently admitted to practice law in the State of New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Bolnick graduated from Grinnell College, with honors, in Political Science in 1971 and received a Masters Degree in Speech-Communication from the University of Minnesota in 1973. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude from the University of Iowa School of Law in 1980.
