Maxim V. Doroshenko is an associate in the Baltimore, Maryland, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation and counseling, helping businesses navigate workplace disputes while minimizing legal and operational risk.

Maxim's practice focuses primarily on defending employers in federal and state courts against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, leave laws, and other employment-related disputes. He also regularly counsels employers on complex employee discipline, leave, and termination issues, helping clients make informed decisions before workplace concerns become litigation.

Known for his analytical approach and persuasive advocacy, Maxim works with clients to identify not only the strongest legal arguments, but also the most practical and cost-effective path forward. He recognizes that litigation is ultimately a business problem as much as a legal one and partners with employers to develop strategies that align with their operational goals and bottom line.

Clients appreciate Maxim's responsiveness, practical advice, and ability to explain complex legal issues in straightforward terms. Colleagues frequently rely on him to manage challenging cases, develop persuasive written advocacy, and quickly assess matters requiring immediate strategic attention.

Maxim has represented employers across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, education, hospitality, and franchising. His experience includes defending individual and multi-plaintiff employment actions, wage and hour litigation, appeals, and dispositive motion practice. He has also handled numerous depositions, argued dispositive motions and state appellate matters, and served as second-chair trial and arbitration counsel. Among his representative successes are securing the voluntary dismissal of a discrimination action following the plaintiff's deposition, obtaining dismissal of a six-figure unpaid wage claim before litigation, and achieving early dismissal with prejudice of a multi-plaintiff employment action in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

In addition to litigation, Maxim advises employers on employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employee handbooks, workplace policies, separation agreements, and other day-to-day employment issues.

Before joining Jackson Lewis, Maxim practiced exclusively in management-side labor and employment law with both national and regional law firms, representing employers since beginning his legal career in 2015.

Maxim earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as Managing Editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. He received his B.S. in International Business from the University of Maryland, College Park.
