On October 1, legislation was passed in Massachusetts regulating the use and enforcement of non-compete agreements in the private sector. The effect on companies has been wide-reaching, and included anticipated changes as well as some effects employers may not have seen coming.

Speakers Erik Winton and Stephen Paterniti will discuss:

  • How to address ambiguities within the language of the statute
  • Using legislative history to help interpret the statute
  • Adequacy of consideration reconsidered: The Garden Leave vs. “Other mutually agreed-upon consideration”
  • When current employees should sign new agreements
  • Multi-state employer issues

*Webinars are CLE-accredited in California, Illinois, New York, Missouri and Texas. We are also accredited providers of HRCI and SHRM.
