Monica H. Bullock, our friend and colleague, passed away on July 6, 2026.

Monica H. Bullock was a principal and office litigation manager in the Riverside, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Monica practiced employment litigation on behalf of management and provided advice and counsel on all facets of labor and employment law. She had represented employers in the retail, health care, service, intellectual property, staffing, medical, transportation, and insurance industries. Monica brought a wealth of relevant experience to her practice. In addition to defending hundreds of single plaintiff employment cases, Monica had handled many class action and PAGA cases. Her practice included litigation under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII, the California Labor Code, Federal Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, California Family Rights Act, Family Medical Leave Act, and Cal-OSHA.

Monica was a member of Jackson Lewis’ Wage and Hour, Class Action, Leave and Accommodation, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration teams. She had helped draft employment handbooks, company policies, and arbitration agreements for a wide range of businesses. Monica maintained long-term relationships with clients, who could count on her responsiveness, attention to detail, and thorough legal advice. She was knowledgeable of the unique challenges facing California employers and proactive in providing counsel which safeguarded clients’ interests. She exclusively practiced defense-side labor and employment law since graduating from UCLA Law School in 2000. Monica had been published in a number of legal journals and was known for her excellent verbal and written communication skills and personable demeanor.

Monica participated in the publication of a national treatise covering topics related to the Americans with Disabilities Act and hiring practices and had authored articles on California law for JL. While attending law school, Monica served as an editor of the UCLA Law Review and president of the Women’s Law Union. She published articles in the UCLA Law Review and the Journal of Legislation.
