Matthew P. Rocco

Matthew P. Rocco is an associate in the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, office of Jackson Lewis P.C.  His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice, counseling and litigation.  

Matt has extensive experience defending a variety of employment litigations, including defending claims of whistleblowers under various state and federal laws, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, sexual harassment, all types of discrimination, retaliation and employment related torts.

Matt has litigated cases before the Superior Court of New Jersey, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Office of Administrative Law, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New Jersey Division of Civil Rights and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked for two mid-sized New Jersey law firms where he honed his litigation skills defending public entities, municipalities and insured businesses in a variety of disputes. During law school, Matt was an associate editor on the Rutgers Law Record and interned at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Newark, New Jersey.
