Heather Kemp-Nguyen

Heather Kemp-Nguyen is an associate in the Washington D.C. Region office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Heather cultivates partnerships with employers to understand the full range of their legal workplace law needs and provides comprehensive and strategic legal advice and counsel to achieve their business goals.

Heather’s practice involves a results-oriented approach—from research of complex issues to fact gathering to executing a tailored litigation strategy—she prioritizes keeping employers informed and guiding them through every stage of a matter. Heather represents employers in a variety of workplace law disputes, including claims of whistleblowing, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation before administrative agencies and state and federal courts.

Heather partners with employers to create proactive policies that minimize legal risks. She drafts and revises organization-specific handbooks and develops substance abuse policies that are legally compliant with the constantly changing multijurisdictional local and federal laws. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Heather gained valuable in-house corporate legal experience working for a large international hospitality management company and leverages that experience when counseling employers whose workplaces generate sector-specific legal issues.

While attending law school, Heather served as an Articles Editor for the International Law Journal. She also provided pro bono legal services through the Virginia Equality Bar Association's Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic and Legal Services of Northern Virginia's Poverty Law Clinic.
