Amy is the managing principal of the firm’s San Diego office. She has more than 25 years of experience representing California employers in matters involving claims including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing and wage and hour violations. She handles cases from industries such as technology, healthcare and hospitality in both federal and state courts, from single-plaintiff lawsuits to complex collective actions under PAGA and class actions. Amy also devotes a significant part of her practice to helping clients troubleshoot and prevent lawsuits through proactive advice and counseling.
Amy is deeply committed to fostering a culture of mentorship, working with her team to cultivate an environment where emerging attorneys can thrive and envision a clear path for career advancement. She recognizes the importance of building strong professional relationships, not only to support client success but also to nurture the development of her colleagues and the collegial and supportive culture in the San Diego office. Amy leads by example through her active involvement in the San Diego legal community and her dedication to pro bono work. She is a member of both the San Diego County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and the Bar Association of San Francisco. Amy is a longtime supporter of San Diego Pride, the Lawyers Club of San Diego, and the Tom Homann LGBTQ+ Law Association, and she frequently speaks on the importance of giving back to the LGBTQ+ community.
Amy earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is a member of the first class to graduate from the Jepson School of Leadership Studies and holds a B.A. in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond.
