WHITE PLAINS, NY (March 11, 2026) — Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce that Brian A. Bodansky has been named a 2025 Volunteer of the Year honoree by Pro Bono Partnership. This honor recognizes volunteers who exemplify the very best of pro bono service, bringing extensive dedication and leadership to collectively address hundreds of legal matters. Honorees are distinguished by the complexity of their pro bono projects, their extraordinary responsiveness and the time spent strengthening nonprofits enhancing the quality of life for communities in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
“Brian’s recognition as a Volunteer of the Year is exceptionally well deserved,” said White Plains Office Managing Partner Michael L. Abitabilo. “He brings the same level of thoughtfulness, responsiveness and legal excellence to his pro bono work that he delivers to our clients every day. His work at Jackson Lewis and his commitment to serving nonprofit organizations reflects the very best of our firm’s values.”
Brian is an attorney in Jackson Lewis’ White Plains office. He is an experienced litigator who represents employers in a variety of employment law disputes, regularly appearing on behalf of clients before local, state and federal agencies, as well as state and federal courts. He has focused much of his practice on wage and hour claims, both in single-plaintiff and class action matters.
Brian began volunteering with Pro Bono Partnership in 2019 and over the last five years has assisted Partnership clients on 17 unique legal matters. His willingness to assist on thorny, time-sensitive legal issues sets him apart and clients frequently remark on the fact that he not only answers the questions they have raised, but the ones that they didn’t even know to ask. In addition to being a reliable volunteer, Brian also serves as the Partnership’s liaison for all White Plains Jackson Lewis volunteers and the White Plains office’s co-pro bono coordinator.
“I’m grateful to Pro Bono Partnership for this recognition and for the opportunity to contribute in a way that makes a tangible difference,” said Brian. “The work they do in supporting nonprofits is critical, and it has been a privilege to help organizations navigate complex legal issues so they can stay focused on their missions and the communities they serve.”
Brian earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A. from Syracuse University.
