Claire Esmonde

Claire Esmonde is an associate in the Washington, D.C. Region, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Claire represents employers in a variety of workplace disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues. In her practice, she combines a strategic litigation mindset with an approachable communication style, ensuring clients receive clear, actionable guidance throughout the life of a matter. 

Drawing on her background in complex litigation and class action matters, she helps clients navigate multifaceted disputes with a strategic and business-focused perspective. Claire also brings nearly a decade of experience in the restaurant industry, providing valuable insight into the operational challenges facing hospitality employers.

Claire's interest in effective dispute resolution began in law school, where she served as a teaching assistant for a Mediation Theory and Practice course and participated in a court-connected mediation clinic, helping parties resolve real-world disputes. She also completed two judicial internships and served as a Submissions Editor for the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal, experiences that deepened her understanding of litigation, legal writing, and judicial decision-making. 

In her free time Claire enjoys antiquing, doing jigsaw puzzles, and bike riding around the monuments.
