Alexis Hishmeh is an associate in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Alexis regularly defends businesses and employers in all types of employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation and wage and hour violations in both states and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Civil Rights Department, and California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement.

Prior to practicing at Jackson Lewis, Alexis was a senior litigation attorney at a mid-size law firm where she defended major manufacturers and public entities in wrongful death, toxic tort, and product liability matters. While in law school, Alexis competed in various moot court competitions and, most notably, won the opportunity to argue in front of the Florida Supreme Court, where she received first place and best brief-runner up. Additionally, while in law school, she had the privilege of interning for two Miami-Dade Circuit Court judges where she gained invaluable insight into effective courtroom strategies.
