Carolina Guiral Cuervo is an associate in the Washington, D.C. Region office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on assisting clients of all sizes and across various industries with obtaining visas and green cards for their foreign employees. She regularly advises clients on developing creative strategies to retain high-skilled, professional, foreign talent.

Carolina also has a wealth of knowledge in family-based and humanitarian-based immigration. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Carolina worked in the immigration unit at a large New York City-based non-profit organization, where she represented individuals in removal proceedings before the New York Immigration Court, and in immigration petitions before USCIS, ranging from lawful permanent residency, U and T non-immigrant status for victims of crime, to complex waivers of inadmissibility.

Carolina was inspired to pursue a career in immigration law as a result of her family’s experience as asylees from Colombia. Carolina’s personal experience with the immigration system enables her to deeply understand the needs of her clients and to provide them with thoughtful and creative advice.
