Claudia R. Leonor
Claudia R. Leonor is an associate in the Richmond, Virginia, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents employers in a variety of workplace disputes, including EEOC charges and ADA, FMLA, Title VII, and Title IX claims.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Claudia was a prosecutor with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Arlington County and the City of Falls Church. As a prosecutor, Claudia honed her ability to manage cases through every stage of litigation, from investigation through trial, and now uses her trial experience to provide efficient and strategic representation to clients.
Born and raised in a Navy family in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Claudia attended Georgetown University, where she studied Government and double-minored in Arabic and Spanish, and she taught English as a Second Language before matriculating at the University of Richmond School of Law.
While in law school, Claudia was actively involved with the Wrongful Convictions Clinic at the Institute of Actual Innocence; first as a Student Attorney and later as the Teaching Assistant. As part of her work with the clinic, she represented indigent clients in federal post-conviction proceedings, and her client successes include obtaining presidential clemency for two individuals. Additionally, during her tenure as a law student, Claudia was a student law clerk for The Honorable Arenda L. Wright Allen and the Honorable M. Hannah Lauck, both of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
