Connor M. Riley is an associate in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on employment litigation and restrictive covenant and trade secret matters.

Connor brings a distinctive combination of litigation skill and business acumen to his employment practice, drawing on prior business experience to deliver strategic, results-oriented counsel to employers navigating workplace disputes from preventive advice and counseling through final disposition of the litigation.

As a member of the Restrictive Covenant and Trade Secret group, Connor has experience evaluating restrictive covenants and advising clients to ensure their agreements comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If a matter requires escalation, Connor has significant experience representing employers both in prosecuting claims to safeguard trade secrets and enforce non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements against departing employees and competitors, and in defending employers against claims that they have violated such agreements.

Before joining Jackson Lewis, Connor practiced as a litigation associate at a regional Am Law 200 firm, where he defended clients in employment, complex commercial, and civil rights matters. Prior to his litigation career, Connor gained valuable experience serving large clients and private equity firms while working at a global consulting firm.

Connor earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with Honors in Economics. During law school, he served as a certified legal intern in the Securities Arbitration Clinic, representing clients in FINRA arbitration proceedings and earning an Excellence in Pro Bono Award.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as all U.S. District Courts in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Connor is active in the legal community and is currently a candidate for the Allegheny County Bar Association Bar Leadership Initiative.

Outside of work, Connor enjoys playing golf, traveling, and exploring new restaurants with his wife.
