Daniel Mullenix is of counsel in the Chicago, Illinois, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Dan serves as a strategic partner to clients on labor and employment matters.
With clients’ long-term business goals in mind, Dan’s proactive and collaborative approach focuses on: employment discrimination, including disparate treatment, disparate impact, retaliation, and harassment; employee performance, conduct and discipline, and leave issues; labor-management relations, including collective bargaining agreement interpretation and application, unfair labor practices, and employee grievances; litigation, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation avoidance strategies
Dan’s practice and approach to problem-solving is informed by his 15+ years of previous in-house, labor and employment law representation experience with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Office of Chief Counsel. As an Area Counsel and Senior Counsel, he advised and counseled IRS management on labor and employment-related matters and represented the IRS in arbitration and litigation proceedings before the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC), Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), and the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA).
