Darnisha N. Mitchell is an associate in the Baltimore, Maryland, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She represents employers in sensitive employment and workplace law matters, including preventative advice and counseling and wage and hour compliance matters in an array of industries such as government, public sector, and nonprofit organizations; education; healthcare; hospitality; transportation; and telecommunications. 

Valerie’s litigation experience includes defending employers in legal actions involving issues regarding employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, leave law and policies and breach of contract. She represents employers in state and federal court, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies such as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Maryland Commission on Civil Rights, and Baltimore Community Relations Commission.

Before Jackson Lewis, Darnisha gained experience in a broad range of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, products liability, education, and family law. This experience provides her with a practical perspective when advising and representing employers in workplace law disputes and compliance matters.
