David Solomon Headshot

David I. Solomon is an associate in the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. focusing on all aspects of traditional labor law.

David has experience representing companies, public sector employers, and institutions of higher learning in collective bargaining negotiations, representation cases, arbitrations and complex labor disputes before the National Labor Relations Board, as well as related federal court litigation.

In addition, David has assisted with negotiating and drafting project labor agreements for various construction projects and has worked with international contractors to help develop the emerging offshore wind industry in the United States. In doing so, David has developed strategies and provided advice to developers to assist them in complying with statutory and contractual obligations, such as local hiring initiatives and prevailing wage.

A law school internship with the New Jersey Reentry Corporation and Governor James McGreevey introduced David to the importance of labor law and the positive impact an employer can have on an entire community. After graduating from law school, David served as a law clerk for the Honorable Justine A. Niccollai of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic County. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, David was an associate at a midsize New Jersey law firm where he worked directly with various employers on both labor and employment matters.

David’s mother was a practicing attorney operating a solo practice. As a result, David learned the importance of accessibility and dedicated advocacy at a young age and developed a sincere appreciation for the impact an attorney can have for clients. Applying his past experience to his present practice, David couples the boutique hands-on approach of a solo practice with the resources of a full law firm to provide each of his clients with a personal service to best understand and achieve their goals.
